Chickens Didn’t Get Bigger Naturally. We Made Them That Way 🐓💔

Chickens Didn’t Get Bigger Naturally. We Made Them That Way 🐓💔

In the 1950s, a chicken weighed under 2 lbs.
Today? The average factory-farmed chicken is over 9 lbs.—grown in half the time.

Why? Because we modified them for more meat.

🚨 Chickens are now bred to grow so fast their legs can’t support their weight.
🚨 Wild chickens lay 12 eggs a year. Farmed ones? 200+.
🚨 As chickens got bigger, the humans eating them did too.

All for profit. At the cost of animal welfare, human health, and sustainability.

What do you think—is this just efficiency, or have we taken it too far? Drop your take below ⬇️
